Will evaporative air conditioner work in my room?

by jstroud on May 23, 2010

I am in the Philippines and humidity is around 70. I have a room of about 40sqm. I am not into a room so cool where an A/c usually do. I am okay when the room is just into a normal room temperature or a little cooler, but not that cold where I need to cover myself in bed sheets or warmer. Can an evaporative air conditioner fulfill my needs?

Absolutely will not work! You’re humidity is way too high! A evaporative swamp cooler max humidity is about 30% for any decent cooling. Any humidity higher than that and you’re wasting energy. Get a central unit or a portable refrigerated unit and you’ll be OK.

NO WHEN the humidity is high, there is to much
moister in the air. A cold air system is better.

not a swamp cooler, your humidity is too high. you need to remove the moisture from that air

.Actually, a dehumidifier would be a good thing to try.

Yep it sure will. Works great.
If you’re still unsure you can ask the salesman.
