Would you like a challenge of building your own solar panel water heaters? The benefits are so many and so prolonged that this moderately difficult project will be work all the work. There are great benefits that include a reduction of your heating bill by 70%, and also a cut in the greenhouse gas emissions.
The heat generated by the solar panel water heaters can be diverted to the inside of the green house and used for other heating purposes. There are many things you will need such as a wire cutter, some zip ties, 70 feet of vinyl pond tubing of quarter inch diameter, 36” x 24” expanded metal mesh and Styrofoam insulation sheet which is quarter inch thick. Get 2 clothes hangers made of wire; some spray foam insulator, box of XXL Ziploc bags, a 5 gallon bucket, PVC glue, a drill and quarter-inch of drill bit.

Now let us get you building your own solar panel water heaters. Wear a pair of leather gloves and use pliers to bend the edge of the metal mesh by one and quarter inch - the gloves will protect your hand. Use the foam insulation sheet to cut your sheet when you will have to cover up the inside of the mesh for making your frame for the panel.
It is inside the metal mesh where the foam panel must be placed. Begin laying the tubing on the foam such that a foot of the tubing hangs beyond the side of the panel. Bring the hose out and then keep this across the length of the foam sheet.
And poke a hole in the foam sheet to bring the tubing to the back side of the foam sheet. Use zip ties to tie up the end of the tubing with the mesh, and you will also have to tie the tubing every 6 inches from the foam's edge. Create a hole in the foam and mesh at the place where the tubing has its open end, and do make this hole big enough for the tubing to pass through.
Bring the hose to the other side and ensure that the tubing is parallel to this, before using the zip tie to tie it down. Bring the foam down in a zigzag way every 6 inches to get rid of any tubing that remains as it goes out from the opposite end. You can see it from a place in the hole, and this is where the metal needs to be separated with the spray insulation.
Use a sheet for spreading once you have cut the Ziploc bag at the seams. In order to make the plastic tight and straight, you must now zip up the zipper that is in the bag at the side of the mesh. Create holes every 2 inches on the sheet after opening the wire hanger on any free edge and after rolling the plastic.
The hanger and the mesh must be attached together with the zip tie, and once done, the hanger will hold the bag's edge. The gaps now need to be filled, and for this, you can use the spray foam, once the process is carried out on the other side as well. Make two holes one above the waterline and the second at a lower height in the bucket so that the tube can get inside the 5 gallon bucket.
Use the PVC glue to seal the tube fed holes. The heat cannot escape if you have insulated the bucket with the foam that remains.Go ahead and make your solar panel water heaters - remember, you can perfect it through practice.
